Participation Guidelines
- Entries must pertain to the Christmas Holiday.
- No floats pertaining to alcohol, tobacco, drugs, political references, or societal issues will be allowed.
- LIGHTS AND MUSIC ARE REQUIRED on all floats or pulled units.
- The height limit for any unit is 16 feet.
- No Santa’s or Mrs. Claus’ allowed. Participants dressed like Santa will be removed.
- No candy or gifts may be thrown from units during the parade. Candy may be HANDED to children. Expect 4,000 to 5,000 pieces will be needed.
- No flyers, coupons, or advertisements of any kind may be distributed on the parade route per City of West Bend ordinance.
- Entries with animals must provide their own clean up during line up and along the parade route.
- Entries with animals must provide a walking chaperone and/or assistant to keep animals under control at all times.
- The primary West Bend Christmas Parade audience is children, please keep this in mind when preparing your entry. The parade committee reserves the right to remove any participant for inappropriate actions or behavior for this audience, or if the parade participant guidelines are not followed.
- Your entry must be in the staging area no later than 4:15pm
- Line up information will be posted on the parade website at www.westbendparade.org the Tuesday prior to the parade.
- Entry deadline for all floats is the Monday before the parade.
- Cancellation Policy: In the event of severe weather, cancellation information will be announced on the Christmas Parade website at www.westbendparade.org.
